MEMBER'S ENTRANCE
The annual Mid-Winter Conference will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Feb. 7th thru Feb. 9th.  Don't forget to make your reservation to attend.
AT OUR AUGUST MEETING WE INSTALLED OUR NEWEST LION MEMBER, DEBORAH BOURQUE.
President Kiki, Deborah and Past Preident Phil.
A part of Lions clubs involves pin trading.  In June, Past President Phil was elected as a Director in the Lions International Pin Traders.  During some of the recent club meetings he distributed pins from the Torrington
Wyoming Club to our club members.  Phil and his wife Elaine who is also a pin trader have been traveling to various pin trading events.  Recently, they traveled across country to Reno, NV for this year's International Convention.  In Feb. they will travel to Nashville, TN for another pin trading event.  If anyone is interested in finding out more about pin trading and their travels, just ask them.

Club Craft show held on Nov. 9th at the Coe Park Civic Center.  Many crafters displayed their wares.  It proved to be a successful event and plans are in place to continue it again next year.
Our club held its annual Christmas party on Dec. 5th.  Again, it was well attended and a great time was had by all.  Grab bag gifts were exchanged and much fun was enjoyed.
DG Dan's Christmas party was postponed due to inclement weather.  It is to be rescheduled in either Jan. or Feb.  Notification will be forthcoming.
Annual Christmas toys for tots collection was held a Walmart on Dec. 3rd.  Several members participated.  Tony and Phylis Piccolo made their annual contribution.
The club recently decided to donate funds to the Torrington Fire Department so that they could purchase smoke detectors for the public's use.
